Proceedings of a Medical Board assembled at the Civil Hospital, Hongkong, on the 21st Jamary, 1916, by order of the Governor for the purpose of examining and reporting upon the present state of health of Mr. J. M. Franco, 9th Lighthouse keeper.

The Board having assembled pursuant to order, proceed to examine the above named officer and find that his eyesight is defective in that there is the remains of an old corneal ulcer on the right side together with impaired function of the optic nerve, and that the left eye is so shortsighted as to render Mr. J. M. Franco unfit for the duties connected with his post, The Board recommend that he be invalided as unfit for further service.
